Dagenham Green

The Opportunity

Peabody has retained Anstey Horne’s services for the multiphase development at the 45-acre regeneration site of the former Ford factory grounds in Dagenham. Set to deliver 3,500 new homes, alongside community hubs, a secondary school, shops, and parkland, the area will be transformed into a vibrant and highly desirable new neighbourhood.

Our Approach

Anstey Horne has provided advice from the outset on the mixed-use application, including the Environmental Statement chapter, and the detailed design of Phase 1. Due to the ambitious nature of this project, including 10 acres of parks and community hub open spaces, our early design input was essential to optimise sunlight access across amenity spaces.

We will continue to provide detailed design advice for subsequent phases, ensuring generous light levels are provided within all residential units.

The project presents unique challenges, including managing solar glare affecting nearby railway lines and junctions to the South, requiring the specialist expertise of our team. Anstey Horne’s Right to Light team offers the experience and resources to provide consistent support throughout all eight phases of the project over the next 20 years.
