Thomas Mead-Herbert
I am a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Building Engineer with 16 years of experience across the construction and property sectors. My career began with several years working on construction sites, giving me a strong practical grounding and a real appreciation of how buildings are put together, how they perform over time, and how they are repaired in the real world. I went on to gain a first-class honours degree in Building Surveying from the University of Westminster before moving into professional practice.
Over the course of my career, I have worked in both small specialist practices and large multinational firms. This has given me a broad perspective, allowing me to combine attention to detail with an understanding of the wider strategic and commercial context of projects.
Since joining Anstey Horne, I have specialised in fire and building safety-related matters, culminating in my role leading the Specialist Surveying & Compliance team, where we investigate, report on, and help to resolve such issues, principally in multi-occupied residential buildings.
I take a practical, client-focused approach and enjoy working collaboratively to find clear, effective solutions.
I live in London and enjoy cycling, keeping fit, gardening, music and travelling.
