Steve Kelly

I am the National Lead for Project and Cost Management at Anstey Horne and sit on the main Board. Having realised early on that a career as a rock star was unlikely to materialise, I found my way into the rather less glamorous world of quantity surveying and unexpectedly discovered a genuine passion for it.

With more than 30 years in the property and construction industry, I’ve had the privilege of working with exceptional clients on some outstanding projects, alongside many talented colleagues. I also co-founded DBK (the “K”), which remains both the most rewarding and the most challenging business venture of my career. Today, one of the greatest satisfactions is seeing former protégés and emerging talent thrive and succeed.

My focus is on providing commercially driven leadership and advice to teams delivering complex regeneration, residential and commercial developments.

My perfect day would involve a drive along the Mizen Peninsula, a stop in Kinsale, and a Guinness with old friends in the atmospheric surroundings of Cork’s Mutton Lane Inn. If Uma Thurman and Thom Yorke happened to drop by, all the better.

To switch off, you’ll find me enjoying banter with my two boys or walking my Vizsla, Georgie, long walks across the fields with Georgie, my Vizsla or my wife’s Dachshund, somewhat less enthusiastically.
