I’m a Director within our Building Surveying team, bringing more than three decades of experience across the commercial and residential property sectors. After serving with HM Forces, I began my construction career in the early 1990s with a materials testing consultancy before completing my university studies and qualifying professionally with leading Central London surveying practices.
My expertise spans building surveying, project management, contract administration, and fit-out projects, with a particular focus on pre-acquisition surveys for high-value commercial property transactions on behalf of institutional, pension fund, and international investment clients.
I’m especially known for my work in lease dilapidations, acting for both landlords and tenants, and I have served as an Expert Witness in a number of successful mediations. A career highlight was representing the landlord in the landmark Hammersmatch Properties (Welwyn) Ltd v Saint-Gobain litigation in 2013.
I also have a strong interest in Party Wall matters and have managed a range of complex commercial developments and residential basement projects in Central London.
Outside work, I am a regular squash player with other hobbies including off road enduro motorcycling and playing the acoustic guitar. I also enjoy an annual ski trip and have been known to hit a golf ball…. and of course, DIY chores!
