Alex Hayward

I first became interested in surveying while studying for a part-time Master’s degree alongside working on the tools for a small building contractor specialising in extensions and refurbishments. During that time, I developed a real passion for construction and for working with existing buildings. That interest continues to drive me today, and the practical experience I gained on site has been invaluable throughout my professional career.

I am currently a Director within the London Building Surveying team and have extensive experience managing complex, fast-paced projects and large portfolio programmes of work. With a particular specialism in the refurbishment and improvement of existing buildings, I have delivered projects across a wide range of sectors, including office, hotel and leisure fit-outs, new-build residential developments, residential conversions, major refurbishments, cladding remediation programmes, and fire safety improvement works. I have been a Chartered Member of the RICS since 2015.

Outside of work, I still enjoy getting back on the tools whenever I can, taking on projects around the home. I also enjoy spending time with my family and young children, and making the most of the outdoors through walking, cooking, and watching films.
